Although Gerard will participate in races with his older pigeons for the last time in 2024, he has also announced that there will be a significant auction of his valuable pigeon flock after the season. This will undoubtedly draw considerable attention from the international community.
Despite scaling back, Gerard plans to remain involved in the sport. He will focus on one loft races and will maintain a small number of young pigeons from his elite stock, ensuring that his influence and legacy in pigeon racing are preserved.
